Photography... sort of

I don't consider what I do to be photography in the classical sense, and I'm sure many, much more skilled and experienced photographers would agree.
I strive to combine my love of photography with my love of music and watercolor.
These images are meant to convey mood and emotion.
When in the presence of the subject matter in these images, I have found gateways into my own heart and mind that were inaccessible otherwise. It is for healing, for growth, for giving thanks, and for sharing that I take these images and do what I do with them.
My hope is that the gratitude I feel for the beautiful world we live in be both evident and contagious.
“Taking pictures is savoring life intensely, every hundredth of a second.” – Marc Riboud

Landscapes

Our planet’s beauty marks are incredibly vast and awe-inspiring, and no photograph can truly capture their entirety. However, a photograph can inspire us to embark on a journey to witness these wonders firsthand.

We build roads to everywhere

I think most of my favorite road trip moments involve a long and empty road between two places much more important than anywhere between them, or so it would seem.

Wildlife

I don't actively chase moments with wildlife, but I am grateful for them when they arrive.

Flowers

I'm just kind of obsessed with taking pictures of them.

Shadow and light

Sometimes light is louder than color, and a single color in its many shades can better convey the secrets of a place or moment.
